It’s time to get out of the house and into one of the nearby dog parks in Atlanta!

Dog parks are a great social activity for both you and your dog! With space to run free and meet new friends, your four-legged pal will love this new adventure.

Piedmont Dog Park

At the top of the list is one of the most popular dog parks in Atlanta. Piedmont’s off-leash area covers nearly three acres where pups can run free and socialize. There are separate areas for large and small dogs as well as new trails and landscaping.

Additionally, there are benches and restrooms for owners and water for your dog. One thing to be aware of is there is minimal shade at this park, which can mean some serious heat in the summer.

ParkGrounds

ParkGrounds is described as “the perfect mid-dog walk destination for Atlanta residents seeking a pick-me-up, a bite to eat, a cold beer, a quick chat with the neighbors, or in the case of those who own dogs – a place to catch their breath.”

Coffee and dogs? Sign us up for that! Certainly one of the more unique dog parks, ParkGrounds makes up what it lacks in size by also being a full coffee shop. Got a computer? Let it loose on the free Wi-Fi connection and get some work done while your dog is playing.

Canine Crossing Dog Park

This five-acre park offers a small dog enclosure, a large dog enclosure, two picnic shelters, restrooms, and a designated water area for dogs.

As the first dog park in Fulton County, Canine Crossing has been around a while. As a result, locals know it’s a perfect spot to enjoy a day with your pup.

Woofstock Dog Park

This punnily named park is great for those who love the outdoors themselves. Located near the Noonday Creek and Town to Creek trails, owners can go for a nature walk or run across the bridge and into the town of Woodstock, GA.

Within the park itself, there are off-leash areas separated by a gravel parking lot. Additionally, there are benches in the shade for humans to sit and relax.

Newtown Dream Dog Park

Newtown Dream Dog Park, one of the top dog parks in the country, is located inside Newtown Park toward the front entrance. It is a fenced one-acre area featuring artificial turf and sprinklers for dogs. The obstacles at the park are fun for dogs to play on. Plus, the park has water fountains for people and pets in case it’s a hot Atlanta day. It offers separate areas for large and small dogs, along with benches, shelters, and shade trees.

Dog waste bags are provided and all dog owners are required to clean up after their dogs. The park is roughly one acre and is mostly covered in artificial turf.
