Located in Cedar Park, a suburb of Austin, this dog park is worth visiting. The off-leash park spans 5-acres, an includes a pond, showers, water fountains, and even a separate area for small dogs. 2. Dog House Drinkery & Dog Park
4.7 stars | 3800 Co Rd 175, Leander, TX 78641
How about a happy hour for you AND your pup? Located in the Austin suburb, Leander, Dog House Drinkery and Dog Park is an off-leash dog park WITH a bar – serving wine and craft beer. Watch your fur babies play while enjoying a drink. Sounds like a good time to me. This reviewer on Google agrees: “I’ve been to ALL the dog parks in Austin and the surrounding area. This one does have a bar, which is nice, but that’s not where my rating comes from. It is a very large, shaded facility that always has a good collection of dogs, closely monitored by the friendly staff. It’s very inexpensive (either an annual membership which is cheap, or a day rate). It’s worth every penny. I’ve been going there 5 years since it opened. My dogs LOVE it.”
3. Auditorium Shores Dog Park
4.7 stars | 900 W Riverside Dr, Austin, TX 78704
Located in downtown Austin, along the shores of Lady Bird Lake, this off-leash dog park is the perfect urban oasis for you and your pup. The partially fenced area allows access to the river, and a dock for your dog to jump off of. One reviewer says, “Best dog park in [all of] Austin. Ample trash cans, and dog bags are complementary. It [has a] self-service dog wash so, you can wash your dog after he’s been in the river or playing in the mud.”
4. Red Bud Isle
4.6 stars | 3401 Redbud Trail, Austin, TX 78746
Red Bud Isle, located in the middle of the Colorado River, offers plenty of space for your dogs to run, hike, or swim. One reviewer says, “Beautiful dog park. Getting there was fun too. Lots of places for the dog to get in and swim. Limited parking, we waited 10-15 minutes to park. Worth the trip!” Throughout the reviews, dog-owners gushed over the off-leash park, the only complaint being the difficulty in parking, so plan accordingly!
5. West Austin Neighborhood Park
4.5 stars | 1317 W 10th St, Austin, TX 78703
Also located in downtown Austin, West Austin neighborhood Park, is in – you guessed it – West Austin. This tucked away urban park features a completed fenced-in off-leash dog park, a must for city dog parents wanting a safe place for their pups to run around. One reviewer says, in a detailed comment, “Can only speak in detail to the dog park, though the entire park is cute and well-maintained! The double gate is great, though there is another regular gate near the road. The park was shady, had a few different water bowls, a couple tennis balls, and a good amount of room for the dogs to run, play, and sniff. There are a lot of chairs and some benches and tables for dog owners, too, and people are generally friendly. For someone with a dog whose recall is not great yet, having this nice fenced-in dog park in Austin is a must!”
